I walk the oceans shores.

I swim in her folds of kelp and sea creatures.

It is the oceans beauty and fragility and desires to embrace the health of the aquatic world – the building blocks of life that inspire me to take paint to canvas.

I am curious about what lies beneath the surface and the ocean in its entirety.

What is real but yet I can’t see with my normal eyesight…These microscopic aquatic life forms.

The spawning beings and clusters of organic matter alluding to cellular life forms.

It is the love of the oceans health, the preservation, fecundity and connection to us that pulls me further into its depths.

My desire to research, especially ocean conservation, has proven to be an invaluable tool strengthening my connection with the oceanic ecosystem.

With the use of pigment powders, acrylics, cloth and organic materials, I build intuitively, a three-dimensional effect amongst the ink and paint. This enables the visceral other worldliness to build form and pulsate with ‘New Life’…
